Wise as a miniature Buddah

For those unfamiliar with the significance oh this photo's title, you need to watch the film Anchorman. Seriously.

Dorks
3:37:00 amWedding days tend to make me go all silly. I think such nonsence results from being cooped up in a suit for too long. Goodness knows what I'll be liable to do when it's my turn.
Ripponlea, Australia
Oh, and I just found my camera's battery charger which had mysteriously fallen behind my sofa. Alas, no AWOL socks were to be found but I should be back shooting again now. Just in time to miss the last of Autumn's sunny days, pity. Yay for odd socks too.
Set in Stone
12:26:00 amNature just isn't complete without a few nationalistic slogans, when in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea that is.
Note the worn Chinese writing in the bottom of the shot. North Korea abolished Chinese script long ago.
Remnants of a time past.
Back in Time
11:26:00 pmSingapore's last remaining Kampong (Malay for village), Kampong Buangkok. Unfortunately, it has recently been repossessed by the government, and will probably be redeveloped soon.
Librarious

I bumped into a bunch of friends while taking this shot. They were very amused but too embarrassed to stick around and quickly retreated to the sanctum of the library.
Sorry about the lack of posting over the past week. My iPhoto died when Apple's tech support suggested I reinstall my OS. Thankfully it was just a fried graphics card rathar than a software issue. After much reinstalling and updating I'm back with a full library of photos again.
Delightful Deokyu San

Coldest hike I have ever done. Was minus 'something crazy' and windy at the top.
Fire festival
1:16:00 am Location: Mootae, Bukgu, Daegu, Korea
The full moon fire festival is held every year on the first full moon of spring. In Mootae it is held in a big aqueduct, which dries up over winter but flows again with the arrival of spring's rain. Why is this significant? Well, as you can see from the photo it is raining and several hundred people are standing in what is a glorified storm water drain. Somehow we didn't get our feet wet, yet sure enough a torrent of water was flowing through here so sooner than the last firework had gone 'pop'.
Roark.
