Science & Tea
4:09:00 pmPlanning for science class can be fun.
A love of fire.
A bit or drawing.
A cup of fancy greenish tea.
All in a Collingwood Cafe.
Vegemite : Proudly Australian
10:51:00 pmWho said I wasn't a patriot?
Location: A kitchen in Hawthorn.
Watch Me!
1:29:00 pmSome more Melbourne Graff.
I especially like the Man/Thing eating the word 'organic'.
Pity its been tagged.
Snacking
1:02:00 pmA slightly disheveled chipmunk has a quick snack atop Mt. Seorak in Korea's Taebaek range. So much cuter than those nasty squirrels.
This was my first time to see a chipmunk and first time since childhood to stand above the clouds.
Jeckmann
6:44:00 amI don't know about Jeckmann but Berliners (right) sure are tasty. Especially if they're filled with blackforest cherry-flavoured cream instead of strawberry jam!
Compared to these, Krispy Kremes are virtually inedible.

Sun Dried Tomato Entrée
9:11:00 pmA gourmet food night I was involved in last year. Many great dishes were dished...
The Sulk
3:57:00 amShe asked for the lunchboxes in my hand as I got off the bus. I tried in vain to tell her they were empty. She asked to be bought food. I tried to buy her some fruit - again, in vain because the fruitseller was trying to cheat me.
Behind her are trays of fruit and notably, fried insects. I suppose I'd be sulky, too.
Somewhere between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Short Macc

Crema lines another coffee cup from those fine folks at Brunetti's
Pity it was at 10:00pm on a Friday, the night before a long day's work. I guess the 5 coffee days are well and truly behind me now.

Tomatos on the sink
4:36:00 pmMy housemate is a chef and has some super sharp knives. The first slice of this tomato was done mid air samirai style. Yes, the tomato was mid air, not me.
I'm not quite happy with the depth of field in this one but was too hungry to drag out the tripod. It was just too dark indoors and I was pushing my camera for every stop of speed I could get while maintaining a decent DOF. I ended up settling for f4.8 and 1/30th while resting the camera on the dish rack. It's at times like these I long for low noise & hi ISO, a la the Nikon D700.
Oh well, time for lunch.
Summer Soju
10:17:00 pmOne of many while on a King Crab Binge in Busan. I'm proud to say I was the last man standing and have photos of the others passed out in the back of a car to prove it. A friends mother took us to this restaurant, an out of the way place with the sweetest crab I have had before or since.
Peachy Ella
10:06:00 pm Location: Circular Quay, Sydney, Australia
This sculpture attracted a lot of attention.
A nude made of peaches, I mean what could be better?
The security guard was having a tough time keeping people's dirty mitts off the sculpture. He gave me a spare peach after having a bit of a chin-wag, which made my day.
