More Oxford homeowner colour-obsession.
You really need to view the enlarged version. It's all in the details... The little old lady in the red jumper, the red painted details (pipes again!), and the neighbouring house, which is structurally identical, but white-washed.

The red houses have a gazillion times more character than the bland white dwellings flanking them. They look like something out of a Noddy story.
And for what is normally an inconspicuous colour the black Mercedes really looks out of place.

It's all a bit flashy... From the bold colour to the Mercedes coupe (don't get a lot of these in Oxford), assuming the car belongs to one of the homeowners. If I had my way though, I'd prefer the shot without the car...
But I agree, it's a nice effect. These houses just seem to pop out at you from the sidewalk.
