arh the humble converse all star.. is it as meek and mild as it would like you to believe it to be? dont be hoodwinked by this pop cultural icon that has plagued us for the past three decades. It's a statement of politics more so than one of fashion; its rebelious, anti-establishment undertows all wrapped up in a few bits of canvas bound to a rubber sole by some measly stetches. Lost behind the single star label are the subliminal mantra's of the hippy peace loving anarchists of the flare wearing era. Rements of which are stroon across this generation's anti conformist role models, embodied in big record company built "punk" bands. All the while, the next generation mindlessly wears this totem of which they know no meaning.
