The road was nice and warm, much like in a luxury car.

On a more contemplative note, this photo somewhat explains my life. You see Esther, the subject in the photo, is looking back down the road. Looking at what we have already passed where this is nice scenery with cows and rolling hills. No doubt there are more rolling hills and cows over the crest in the background of this shot but that isn't where her attention is.
This is like me is a way.
I'm always looking back at what has been and I see a pretty busy picture. However in doing so I feel like I am missing out on the view of what lies ahead.
Sure it might me more cows and rolling hills, but it might be different. As in this photo there might be a festival with swimming pools of lemonade, amazing acrobatic feats and wicked good food stalls just ahead.
But I wouldn't know until I had already passed it because while I am travelling forwards I’m facing the wrong way. I’m looking backwards.
Like driving with you eyes fixed to sternly in the rear view mirror that you don't see the fluorescent horse ahead of you until it too is in the rear view.

Time to look ahead.

(Brightly painted horses are in the streets of Glenferrie every spring racing season. I knew they would make a handy metaphor one day)
