Take the pressure down
11:29:00 amThe first day of TAFE was, well, not exactly riviting. This was the highlight of lunch break. I hadn't been educated in Ringwood since 2001 and this time was no better, save the detentions.

10:42:00 amSomewhere on Melbourne's Citylink Freeways a Maserati driver shows off by rocketing by much to our and his female passenger's delight.
I'd take an Aston Martin myself.

View from St Mary's
2:11:00 amOne of the windows in the church tower. The building in the foreground is Brasenose College and the spire in the background is Exeter College Chapel.
In case you're wondering, yes, it was unusually bright and clear the day I took this. Today, it's the typical grey and rainy English weather. Humph.

Torture with Dignity
4:28:00 pm
Although i don't really know how anyone can torture someone with dignity, it sounded v. sophisticated, so bam! it became the title.
In photo: me; and someone who does not wish to be named - as he is not being tortured with dignity... I think mi amigo Phil took this. Bueno picture, no?

Climb
4:05:00 pmOne of my students from mid 2006 during my time in Daegu, Korea.
Classes in the playground were always a big hit with the youngsters.
This photo feels like a metaphor for education from a young student's perspective.

2:09:00 amJapanese kids are generally cute. They tend to be quiet, and somewhat happy. Who wants another screaming, crying, kicking brat? This kid was hanging out with his mom at Tokyo's Imperial Palace on a Sunday afternoon.
Who rules who?
1:47:00 amLocation: Kumgang Mountain, DPR (North) Korea.
Taken while on a guided hike through the mountains this photo really captures how small I, indeed all the hikers and our guides, felt. Were were dwarfed by the sheer size of the mountain, often is seemed to enclose us on all sides. Even the limitless sky seemed to be in the mountain's palm.
Humans think we rule the world. Perhaps not.
If I was ever going to print a photo the size of a billboard this would be it. Not because it's photographically stunning (the colours are a bit bland to be honest) but just so you could get a feel for just how insignificant we humans are in this big world.
Back in Time
11:26:00 pmSingapore's last remaining Kampong (Malay for village), Kampong Buangkok. Unfortunately, it has recently been repossessed by the government, and will probably be redeveloped soon.

Confused?
This is a real sign in the QV shopping centre. You know, the type of sign that makes it easy to find where you want to go, maybe.
Today is a monumentious day. Why you ask? Because this is site is no longer about only my photos. Yes, thats right. We now have, wait for it... multiple posters! Yay, something I have desired for a long time has come to pass! (I think it was mentioned in the first post here)
Well, if you too would like to be a part of this mayhem then drop me a line. Who knows, we might be able to totally 'geek out' and go on trans-global-photo-assignments.
Oh joy!
Librarious
6:21:00 pm Location: State Library of Vicrotia, Melbourne
I bumped into a bunch of friends while taking this shot. They were very amused but too embarrassed to stick around and quickly retreated to the sanctum of the library.
Sorry about the lack of posting over the past week. My iPhoto died when Apple's tech support suggested I reinstall my OS. Thankfully it was just a fried graphics card rathar than a software issue. After much reinstalling and updating I'm back with a full library of photos again.
