Dorks

Dorks, originally uploaded by ǝıɥɔıɹ ƃuıʌɐɹ.

Wedding days tend to make me go all silly. I think such nonsence results from being cooped up in a suit for too long. Goodness knows what I'll be liable to do when it's my turn.

Ripponlea, Australia

Oh, and I just found my camera's battery charger which had mysteriously fallen behind my sofa. Alas, no AWOL socks were to be found but I should be back shooting again now. Just in time to miss the last of Autumn's sunny days, pity. Yay for odd socks too.

Torture with Dignity

Torture with Dignity, originally uploaded by grave.architecture.

Although i don't really know how anyone can torture someone with dignity, it sounded v. sophisticated, so bam! it became the title.

In photo: me; and someone who does not wish to be named - as he is not being tortured with dignity... I think mi amigo Phil took this. Bueno picture, no?

Where: Camp Howqua

I want a windmill too, originally uploaded by Sporking Roark.

Location: Artemis lane, QV, Melbourne I remember the few times I had a windmill on a stick when I was a kid. Every time was filled with smiles and giggles. You just couldn't have a windmill without laughter.

Untitled

Location: Somewhere in country Victoria

The road was nice and warm, much like in a luxury car.

On a more contemplative note, this photo somewhat explains my life. You see Esther, the subject in the photo, is looking back down the road. Looking at what we have already passed where this is nice scenery with cows and rolling hills. No doubt there are more rolling hills and cows over the crest in the background of this shot but that isn't where her attention is.
This is like me is a way.
I'm always looking back at what has been and I see a pretty busy picture. However in doing so I feel like I am missing out on the view of what lies ahead.
Sure it might me more cows and rolling hills, but it might be different. As in this photo there might be a festival with swimming pools of lemonade, amazing acrobatic feats and wicked good food stalls just ahead.
But I wouldn't know until I had already passed it because while I am travelling forwards I’m facing the wrong way. I’m looking backwards.
Like driving with you eyes fixed to sternly in the rear view mirror that you don't see the fluorescent horse ahead of you until it too is in the rear view.

Time to look ahead.

(Brightly painted horses are in the streets of Glenferrie every spring racing season. I knew they would make a handy metaphor one day)

It stated out as a game of basketball and ended up somewhere in the land of Street Fighter and Tekken. Can you see who is Dalsim?

Trespassers Prosecuted

Trespassers Prosecuted, originally uploaded by Sporking Roark.

An adventure off the beaten track yielded many mischievous moments. They had no idea of what the sign meant and probably wouldn’t care even if they did such was the mood on this fine, early spring day.
